About the event
This February learn about the #RankedChoiceVoting method (also called “Instant Runoff”) with Nick Cote and Charles Lyons of FairVote Virginia (www.fairvotevirginia.org). Cities and states across the country are adopting this method because it lets voters show how they really feel about the options. No more worries about "wasting" your vote on an unpopular pick or "spoiling" the election by voting your conscience. This simple change to how we vote can help reduce gridlock, promote clean campaigning, and encourage higher turnout because every ballot really counts.
Virginia has ranked choice voting legislation coming to Richmond again in 2020, and FairVote Virginia will work hard to see it through.
